Making multi tooth cutters - Part 5

Hey everyone, here is Part 5 (polishing & cutting the cutter teeth) from the series I am doing about making multi tooth cycloidal cutters. As you will notice in the video I am using my Atlas benchtop horizontal mill for cutting out the cutter blank teeth. I thought I would try this as I do not use this mill very much and I can leave it set up for this part of the process in making these cutters. The feeds and speeds I used were very slow, it was my experiment to try and avoid creating any burrs from the saw blade. Didn't help much so I will be going back to higher rates for this (at least I cleaned up the shop while waiting for it to cut through each time  ).
In the next video. Part 6, I will be cutting the actual pinion.
Hope you find this interesting and informative, please feel free to make some comments here.
Have a great day, William

William
I have been wondering how the gear or wheel cutters was going? It's been a year, any progress? Enquiring minds gotta know?
Best wishes
Nelson

Nelson, your right...busy busy busy here...I was hoping that you would have come over to help haul 12 yards of landscape rock this summer, I would have given you free lessons on how to accomplish that task :D . Anyway...soon I hope. Thanks for asking, William
